  • Publicize awards to encourage nominations

Encourage the membership to participate in nominations for ASHA awards

(e.g., Illinois Clinical Achievement Award, Kleffner Award and ASHA Fellow)

Facilitate the presentation of ISHA awards

  • Notify the recipients of awards following Executive Board approval.
  • Secure appropriate plaques or certificates for all awards presented.
  • Plan award celebration
    1. Receive reservations
    2. Determine seating
    3. Print place cards for awardees and guests
    4. Facilitate photos of awardees and guests at the reception
  • Provide publicity to ISHA recipients

  • Review criteria and procedures for all awards.
  • Provide written reports of committee activities and expenditures to the Vice President, Division for Association Affairs.
  • Monitor the recognition of the past president.

The purpose of ISHA’s LDP is to teach participants to apply acquired knowledge and skills in future professional and volunteer leadership roles while building a strong pipeline of future leaders for ISHA volunteer roles.
