Challenging all Illinois NSSLHA Chapters!

ISHA’s Ethics Education Committee is announcing the 2026 Ethics in Action Video Contest. 

What is the ethics video contest?

Each Illinois NSSLHA Chapter is invited to submit one Instagram Reel video (up to 90 seconds in length) that responds to the following prompt: 
Find a post on a social media platform that raises potential ethical concerns. This could be an original post or a response to a post. What ethical Rules/Principles are involved from the 2023 ASHA Code of Ethics? Now imagine if one of your colleagues authored the post. Provide specific examples of how you would navigate this dilemma if you were the SLP or Audiologist. 

• Make sure to reference the 2023 ASHA Code of Ethics
• Creativity is encouraged!  

Contest Prizes

• The winning NSSLHA Chapter submission will receive the following:
• A $125.00 prize, courtesy of ISHA.
• Published recognition in the ISHA Voice and other ISHA social media platforms.
• The second place NSSLHA chapter submission will receive $50.00.
• The third place submission will receive $25.00.

Contest Rules and Procedures 

• Each Illinois NSSLHA Chapter is allowed to submit one Instagram Reel video
• The submission must be tagged on Instagram:  @illinoisISHA
• The Instagram Reel video must be posted from the official NSSLHA Instagram account (no personal Instagram accounts) Participants must complete and submit the contest submission form along with faculty advisor approval. 
• There is no limit to how many students can be involved in the submission.
• Submissions must be original works created by each NSSLHA Chapter.
• Submit Instagram video link and the contest submission form to ISHAethicscontest@gmail.com. 
• Chapters may post Instagram Reel videos any time up to 11:59 PM on 2/6/2026.
• Each submission will be judged by a panel of ISHA members.
• Winners will be announced during ISHA’s Annual Convention.
