• ISHA’s Billing and Reimbursement Committee is working on many actin items to continue advocacy work for insurance reimbursement.  The committee wants members to be aware that they can obtain more information regarding the BCBSIL settlement and see if they are eligible (link included below). Members can also use a survey link from ASHA to share their current experiences with Tricare insurance (link included below).

• ISHA’s School Affairs Committee in conjunction with the Assistants Committee drafted a letter for review by state licensing agencies to inform districts of licensure requirements.
• ISHA’s Multicultural Topics Committee is working on collaborating with ISHA’s DEI Committee to set up informational sessions. We are starting by planning 3 events, 45 minutes each, marketed on Facebook and Instagram, that talk about:

• Current curriculum info and how well it is being implemented
• Current policy info and how well it is implemented in Illinois.
• Current multicultural practices in school, hospital, and university clinics in Illinois.
• Convert these presentations as ISHA voice article and publish them.
