• The Honors Committee has reviewed and is preparing the list of the 2025 Honors Class to the ISHA Executive Board for approval.
• The Leadership Development Program Committee has selected the participants for the 2024-2025 LDP cohort, which will begin with a kick-off on September 10. Participants will learn about leadership basics, emotional intelligence, conflict management, high-performing teams, influencing others, and managing a leadership career. Additionally, participants will engage in discussion and journalling to further their leadership skills.  The participants for the 2024-2025 are:

• ISHA’s Evidence-based Practice committee submitted a presentation proposal for ISHA convention to address membership request for information regarding common statistics used in journal articles.  The committee continues to submit information for ISHA social media as well as articles quarterly.  This year the committee is selecting articles that relate to language disorders, a highly requested topic by the membership. 
• ISHA’s School Affairs Committee continues to work with Speaking 4 Children and Advance Illinois to draw legislative attention to paperwork reductions.  The committee has updated their portion of information on the ISHA website with requirements for working in the schools and resources for licensure.  This is available to members here.
